Global Takeover Presents Tritonal at Side Show

A progressive trance party to top all others

On Friday, 31 August 2012 Global Takover/GTO – the trance party organisers devoted to bringing you more overseas talent – is featuring three top international acts, Tritonal, Simon Patterson and Tom Henry, at Side Show in Cape Town. Doors open at 9pm and the music kick-off is at 9.30pm, with the party promising to go on into the wee hours.

Though the jol features some noteworthy local talent,  Tritonal, a US music duo that’s risen from obscurity to fame in just a few short years, is definitely the star of the show and the one to watch out for.

Made up of Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, Tritonal came together when the two electronic artists – who were living on opposite sides of the States – met online (unlike what’s so often the case in Cape Town, they weren’t high school mates for eons before).

The duo came together providing remixes for some of the biggest dance music labels around, while Dave was in Washington DC completing work on his very own artist album. They shared a vision for music production and sound design technique, and soon became fast friends. The result? Dave packed his bags and travelled across the country to pursue what has evidently become a prosperous collaborative career and a creative match made in heaven.

Tritonal have quickly become one of the top names to watch in the international electronic dance music scene. They currently stand at number 83 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs List, and they’ve seen track after track fly up the Beatport charts and land in the sets of some of the most renowned DJs in the world.

Tickets are available through Computicket at R90p/p for general admission, R125 for VIP and R180 for VVIP. The VIP ticket entitles patrons to immediate VIP entry and entrance to the VIP dance floor; ticketsare limited to 300 people. The VVIP ticket includes immediate entry, a complimentary cocktail upon arrival, access to the VIP dance floor and entrance to the mezzanine level overlooking the main arena with a private bar lounge and restroom with finger foods and canapés served before 1am. This ticket includes a signing and a meet and greet session with all three internationals between 10 am and 1am, and there are only 180 tickets available.
