Franschhoek Winter Wines Showcase

Sip winter warming wines and ogle polished vintage vehicles at this annual Franschhoek showcase!

What better way to wile away the hours and curb those winter blues than by sipping on fine vintages from one of South Africa’s leading wine and culinary destinations at the 2014 Franschhoek Winter Wines festival? Held at L’Ormarins Estate’s Franschhoek Motor Museum on Saturday, 21 June 2014, this intimate event, much to wine fanatics’ delight, offers up a smorgasbord of excellent reds and whites from some of the region’s renowned wineries for tasting.

Along with the full-bodied vino varietals on offer, visitors can expect live entertainment throughout the day as well as an opportunity to marvel at 100 years of motoring history at the Franschhoek Motor Museum, which features an extraordinary collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia.

As you sample top winter wines while making use of the unique chance to chat with the winemakers, the beautiful surroundings and warm interior will make you wish that winter could linger on for a little bit longer.

TICKETS FOR 2014 FRANSCHHOEK WINTER WINES SHOWCASE

Tickets for the Franschhoek Winter Wines showcase are available via Webtickets.co.za at a cost of R180p/p; price includes a wine glass, tastings of all the exhibiting wines, as well as entrance to the Franschhoek Motor Museum (admission usually costs around R60p/p).

Booking is essential as tickets are limited.

The festival will run from 12pm until 5pm.
