Disney On Ice South Africa

Wondering what to do for the school holidays? Never fear, Disney on Ice is rolling, or rather, skating into Cape Town for the first time in South African history, with an action-packed ice spectacular from Friday, 6 to Tuesday 10 July 2012.
The Worlds of Fantasy tour will whisk audiences away on a captivating adventure to four magical locations: Tinker Bell’s mystical land of Pixie Hollow, Andy’s Toy Story 3 bedroom, the auto racing terrain of Cars and Ariel’s undersea kingdom. From the high-speed antics of Lightning McQueen, Mater and Cars crew, to some galactic fun with the Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie from Toy Story 3, this production will delight both young and old audiences.
“To be the first to introduce the Tinker Bell story live on ice and to be entrusted with the beloved Toy Story characters is incredible, and we are thrilled to bring these heart-warming tales to families across South Africa for the very first time," says producer Nicole Feld.
“The arena instantly transforms into Pixie Hollow as we show our audience how the fairies prepare for spring with an explosion of colour. To convey the world of the toys and create the proper toy-to-human scale, we manipulated the size of the props and costumes to make live skaters – and even the audience – seem toy size,” she adds.
It’s entertainment that’s suitable for the whole family, and is hands down a show not to be missed.

R150p/p – R300p/p. Tickets available through Computicket. There are three shows on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday (6, 7, 10 July 2012) at 11am, 3pm and 7pm, and two shows on Sunday and Monday (8, 9 July 2012) at 11am and 3pm.
