The Cape Town Festival is one of the highlights of the year when it comes to art, culture, music, poetry and other performing arts. One of the events featured during the festival is Night Vision (March 10).

As the only nocturnal urban arts and entertainment event in South Africa, Night Vision reconnects Capetonians and enables them to reclaim the city centre since 1999 by promoting the inner city as a safe and accessible place. Night Vision transforms central Cape Town into a South African version of Rio and brings out the city's "carnivalesque" nature attracting more than 30,000 people per year.

What to do during Night Vision?

• Alive on Long - New World Stage on Long Street (World Music, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Top Cape Town DJ's)
• Omni Culture Carnival Procession - A Kaleidoscope of marching bands
• Fashion on Long - Eco Fashion Show on Long Street by Cape Town Fashion Designers
• Art Night Route - Late night gallery viewing Co-hosted by AVA
• Bo-Kaap after Dark - Co-hosted by Iziko Museums & Bokaap Community Centre, dance, song, food, exhibitions, night market, beat poetry
• Social Dance on the Square - Latino dancing and collaborations on Green Market Square
• Street Art - Various art activities throughout the City
• Artful Food - Food presented as art.
