A delightful combination of olive oil, olives, wine, Mediterranean food and festivity await visitors to South Africa's largest gathering of olive producers at the 5th annual Cape Olive Fair.
As you arrive, you will find a quaint square with 150 year old buildings and a chapel surrounded with old trees, tables, umbrellas and food stalls.
The wine, freshly baked bread, cheeses and buckets of olives will transport you to a sunny square in a far away village. Here one can indulge in the largest selection of South African olive products.
From plump, juicy olives to those that are dried or semi-dried, olives stuffed with nuts, anchovies or red pimento, tapenades and a comprehensive range of locally produced piquant, medium and mild extra virgin olive oils of South Africa.
Each visitor will be provided with a wine tasting glass, compliments of Consol, to sample a delectable range of wines from South African olive estates.
