13 August 2008
Cadbury is celebrating the launch of their 2008 Local 'n Lekker chocolate range with a countrywide comedy tour this winter.
Johan van der Walt (from M-Net's 'Van der Walt's Fault'), Kedibone Mulaudzi, Al Prodgers, Michael Naicker and Joey Rasdien are going to be visiting Cape Town on 13 August, on a whistle-stop comedy tour.
The five comedians on the bill each have a unique perspective on how lekker it is to live in South Africa.
Alan Committie (aka Johan van der Walt), who was recently seen on M-Net as bumbling part-time security guard Johan van der Walt in 'Van Der Walt's Fault', will MC the show.
Kedibone Mulaudzi is one of SA's rising stand-up comedy stars. His material is based on current affairs and the weird things that South Africans talk about.
With his uncompromising delivery and approach to taboos, Al Prodgers could be musing whimsically about drug-sniffer dogs or bemoaning his receding hairline.
Michael Naicker is the H'Indian H'Alter H'Ego of funnyman Kevin Perkins, and has taken South Africa by storm as "The Common Man's Super Hero" over the last couple of years.
'Bunny Chow' star Joey Rasdien's endearing stage persona is intellectually absurd, physically hysterical and visually beside himself.
