Enjoy a glamorous New Year's Eve at Beluga in Green Point, Cape Town
The theme for Beluga’s New Year’s Eve dinner is Red Carpet Glamour. There will be a live band (Denay Willie Band) and small dance floor. A Bedouin tent is planned for the evening and a gorgeous open air fantasia style courtyard feel should set the tone for outside. The Beluga New Year’s Eve Dinner Menu: A flow of welcome cocktails, mojito’s, brut rosé, kir royals and martinis on arrival. As per tradition a delicious five course meal will be served: Amuse-Bouche: Scallop Cocktail - A decadent treat with a touch of ‘caviar’. Second Course:- Crayfish and Avocado Tian - served with watercress salad, crayfish vinaigrette and lemongrass aïoli.
Or- Smoked Springbok Carpaccio - freshly cut and prepared with caponata salad and a harrisa and verdé emulsion.
- Tart Tatin - a mouth-watering confit of plum tomato tart tatin, with goat’s feta, rocket leaves and balsamic syrup.
Or- Beluga’s Fashion Sushi - a selection of flash-seared tuna sashimi and salmon roses.
Or- Tom Ka Kai - a fragrant, coconut-scented Thai broth.
Third Course:- Oysters - fresh, succulent, West Coast oysters served natural with lightly spiced a la greque salsa.
Or- Duck Liver Crème Brûlée - fantastically decadent and served with spiced, poached baby pear and petite salad.
Or- Beef Carpaccio - biltong crusted carpaccio, with soured new potato salad and caper berries.
Or- Five-flavoured Sashimi - two types of fish, artfully presented with five different tastes.
Or- Beluga Summer Salad - perfect for a warm summer night. Served with citrus segments, goat’s cheese, toasted seeds, assorted crispy leaves and herb vinaigrette.
- Champagne Sorbet
Fourth Course:- Salmon - chilli, lime and basil-glazed Scottish salmon on melted butter pomme purée with cherry tomato compote and vanilla beurre blanc.
Or- Veal Saltimbocca - oven-roasted and served with pomme croquette, fresh green asparagus and rosemary jus.
Or- A taste of Seafood - one tiger giant, two langostines and salt-fried calamari with rocket salad, chilli and lime salsa, lemon beurre blanc and basmati rice.
Or- Beluga Platinum Sushi Plate - a selection of the best prime sushi Beluga has to offer.
Or- Fillet of Beef - a succulent cut, pan-fried to perfection and presented with pomme neuf, confit of rosa tomato and a trio of mustard jus.
Or- Asian-Scented Duck Breast - rich duck breast with Peking glaze on wok-fried bahmi gorreng rice noodles and hot and sour sauce.
Fifth Course:- Vanilla Panacotta - with fresh raspberry jellies and basil syrup.
Or- Belgium Chocolate Truffle Cake - served with almond tuille and vanilla bean ice-cream.
Or- Beluga Summer Fruit Symphony - with a mixed berry sorbet.
Or- White Chocolate Martini - be Beluga-licious.
- Coffee or Tea - with Beluga Bar-One springrolls.
