Annual Cape Town Tattoo-a-thon
Get inked at Cape Town’s most popular tattoo studios for a good cause
Participate in the 2013 Cape Town Tattoo-a-thon and join scores of ink-lovers in a quest to raise funds for CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA on Friday, 29 March 2013.
After a successful inaugural 2012 Cape Town event that raised a whopping R70,000, the body art drive aims to launch a national campaign this year. Thus, in 2013, the annual tattoo-a-thon will be hosted in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, concurrently, with the goals of raising R500,00 and setting a record for the most tattoos completed during a single event.
How the 2013 Cape Town Tattoo-a-thon works
Simply select your artwork and make a booking at one of the participating 12 Tatto-a-thon studios for Friday, 29 March 2013. The cost/donation for all tattoos is set at R700p/p, and each artist has agreed to donate an hour of their time per tattoo. Thus, if you have a tattoo that demands more than an hour’s work, you may be subject to additional costs and you may need to make an additional appointment for the artist to complete the job.
Bookings for the tattoo-a-thon on Friday, 29 March 2013 are essential, and a deposit is required upon booking. There is a 24-hr cancellation grace period, after which your deposit will not be refunded. Strictly no under18’s (bring your ID for verification) and no tattooing of hands and feet.
