Heritage Square’s historic buildings and its wind-free patio offer a fantastic nightlife environment for “Parisienne” or Barcelona “Barri Gothique” type evenings, complete with excellent wine and food.
HQ is a restaurant for life-loving people who appreciate style and quality in a setting that is sophisticated yet relaxed.
The atmosphere at HQ is one of effortless elegance. The simplicity of the menu, combined with the cosmopolitan feel of the setting, creates a dining experience that seamlessly pleases all your senses at once.
Now Headquarters brings you the mid-week break you deserve with a touch of style and a lot of jazz brought to you by Glen Grant Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Legendary jazz drummer, Art Blakey, said: "Jazz washes away the dust of everyday life."
And what a beautiful way to put it, for that's exactly the way we look at it. Why have an ordinary Wednesday evening when you can listen to some extraordinary live jazz at HQ instead?
Sadly Art Blakey is no longer around, but if he were, we'd like to think he'd pop in and tap his wingtips to the smooth sounds of Dave Ledbetter this evening...
Every Wednesday you will be treated to the finest of live jazz, featuring The Rus Nerwich Trio.
Rus Nerwich is an artist of high integrity and sensitivity, and has a reputation for being an innovative and dedicated musician.
He is committed to using music as a vehicle to uplift, communicate and empower, and is highly regarded by both musicians and the listening public. His album Beyond the Walls is recognized to be one of the most interesting and daring musical works to come out of South Africa in recent years.
Nerwich has recently released an album of new work, from a project entitled “Mantras4ModernMan”. Recent highlight performances were at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival as well as The Spier Arts Festival.
So be sure to head over to Headquarters every Wednesday night.
