A Vienneses Evening with Operetta at Savoy Cabbage

Heritage Square restaurant creates a unique evening with fine food, wine and music

This 4th September 2008, Savvoy Cabbage will be hosting the Viennese Evening with the captivating Marion Roberts entertaining the audience.

Marion has just won the Italian Singing Competition held by the Italian Club of South Africa.

Accompanied on the accordion by renowned musician Stanislav Angelov, she will perform a beautiful and rich programme of Strauss and Operetta favourites, with just a touch of French and Italian Opera.

In April this year Savoy Cabbage had a full house when Marion Roberts entertained the guests with Opera and songs from the musicals over dinner at the renowned Savoy Cabbage restaurant at Cape Town’s Heritage Square.

Her role as the Queen of the Night in Kentridge’s Magic Flute was very highly praised.

To further her singing career in Europe, she has decided to move to the Hague, which makes her appearance at Savoy Cabbage an opportunity not to miss since it might be her last Cape Town performance for a while.

The Savoy Cabbage experience combines the music of Old Vienna with an indulgent traditional Viennese Dinner, all carefully matched with the award winning wines from Raka, the Kleinrivier winery.
