Cape Town's Westend is hosting the internationally acclaimed guitarist Jimmy Dludlu, sponsored by the O'Shea Group. 

At the 12th annual SAMA Awards recently held at Sun City, Jimmy Dludlu was named "Best Male Artist" and received the "Best Jazz Album" award for his "Corners of My Soul." 

At times he electrifies his audiences with his high energy percussive style while soothing them at other times with his incredibly emotive and deeply moving compositions and improvisations. 
Jimmy Dludlu will be performing every Sunday night this month at Westend with extremely talented artists, who are all virtuosos in their own right, including Camillo Lombard on keyboards, Anton Mano on drums, Ivan Mazuze on saxophones (on 24 September only), Niel Angel on trumpet and flugelhorn, percussionist John Hassan and bassist Peter Ndlala. 

Other artists may also be featured as guests with Jimmy Dludlu and the Afro Jazz Project, as the band is called.  

Tickets for the concerts in Cape Tow are very affordable at R40 per person for the first 2 Sunday performances and R50 per person for the last Sunday performance. 
Tickets are available first come first served at the door on the evening of the performance.  Doors open at 8:00pm.  Westend is located on College Road in Rylands near Athlone.
