The 5th Annual Women’s Arts Festival

Fairs fair? Join in on the debate about justice as perceived through the discourse of gender equality.

Artscape cordially invites you to the 5th annual Women’s Art festival which will take place from the 4th – 6th August. This year’s theme is ‘Equal Justice’ and features cutting edge productions such as; ‘Funny Kaap’ - Soli Philander and Shimmy Isaacs | ‘For Generations’ – Kurt Egelhof | ‘Banyana Republic’ - Mike van Graan.

Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu will open the ‘Plus-Minus Equal Public Conversation’ and Elna Boesak in partnership with the Gender Commission will lead the debate with the theme ‘ Woman & Justice: Are the Scales Balancing?

A host of expert speakers including Prof Cheryl Potgieter (Dean of Research KZN), Moses Masitha (Youth leader/researcher Institute for Race, Reconciliation and Social Justice), Cornelia September (Member of Parliament Admin Assistant: Ms R. Stander), Dr Eve (Clinical Sexologist) and more will participate on the panel.
