Heritage Day Tree Planting at Backsberg

Arbour month and Heritage Day in one

It’s National Braai Day 2011 but before we get to braais, boerewors, All Blacks and broodtjies let us tell you about the tree planting.

On the 24th of September Backsberg will be celebrating arbor month by tree planting. Of course, Backsberg doesn’t just want want to have you labouring in the fields, so they have put an enjoyable day together for the whole family.

The Bare Facts

08:00 – Tea and coffee available
09:00 – tree planting
10:00 – Boerewors rolls and drinks served
10:30 – kick off NZ vs France (big screen in the Restaurant)

Cost: Wine Club Members: R35p/p
Non-members: R100p/p

Take your meal and drink, find a spot in the restaurant and enjoy the Frenchies take on the All Blacks in what should be an interesting game of rugby. The restaurant will have a big screen for the game and Backsberg willl also host the Braai Bonanza where you can pick out your meat or fish which will be braaid for you.While you are watching the rugby there will be face painting for the kids, as well as plants (R15 per plant) in tins for them to decorate.
