Authentic Italian eatery in Cape Town
Opened May 2016, this little gem has become one of the ultimate go-to restaurants in Cape Town. This proudly authentic italian gem is run by Enrico Tarantino along with his partner and son. The energy inside will give every customer an ‘’at home’’ feeling when they walk in. The food is prepared and served with intricate detail and perfection. You’ll be sure to have a three course meal and not have it cost you an entire month’s salary.
An interesting feature of Osteria Tarantino is its consistency in providing innovative dishes that customers crave. An example of how in tune Enrico’s catering is to his customers, is his summer menu that he creates for Cape Town's scorcher months where he serves Rigatoni Genovese, Veal Carpaccio and Viteltonnato. Decadently prepared, the meals will have you feeling cool as a cucumber in the summer heat - but in winter the hearty meals will warm your body and soul.
The family-owned cafe, prides itself on the beautifully vibrant atmosphere and the friendly and helpful service that you are guaranteed to enjoy at every dining experience. Be sure to visit this eclectic hotspot to satisfy all your italian home cooked meal cravings. Lighten the load off cooking and enjoy this entirely fabulous evening, you are sure to have here.
We love the atmosphere and the beautiful ambience in the restaurant.
Tip: Booking is always the wiser option with little gems such as these
NOTE: Best place to go during the cold nights of winter because of the stunningly warm fire place.
Opening times: Monday - Saturday: 12pm - 9pm
