Unique experiences in the Stellenbosch Winelands at Stellenbosch Wine Festival this winter


Every year during the beautiful
winter months, Stellenbosch, the second oldest town and wine capital of South Africa, plays host to one of the most important events on the South African wine calendar.

The Stellenbosch Wine Festival is a world class affair attracting thousands of wine lovers both local and from abroad.

The Stellenbosch Wine Festival is held in association with Stellenbosch Wine Routes and American Express.

With over 100 Stellenbosch wineries on show, more than 500 of the best Stellenbosch wines to taste, mouth-watering delicacies and amazing entertainment, more than 30 lovely food stalls will be ready to offer appetising meals and food treats and cooking demonstrations are a must.

The whole family will have plenty to do the entire Stellenbosch Wine Festival weekend.

In addition various Stellenbosch wine farms including the renown Simonsig Estate will host their own exciting events from performances at Delhiem to tantalizing dinners and Wine Safari’s and they are all for young and old to enjoy before as well as during the week of the Stellenbosch Wine festival.

Shake off the winter blues and head out to the Boland for the following activities at Simonsig from the 30 July to the 2 August 2008.

These unique events at Simonsig should truly be investigated for these are unique experiences with one of the Western Cape’s finest wine makers Johan Malan as well as Viticulturist Francois Malan.
