Supporting their involvement with 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, official 2010 Host Cities may combine their host city logo with the Official Emblem to form a composite logo. Cape Town was the first Host City to release its logo.

The Cape Town Host City logo takes into account the strong dynamic shapes, flowing lines and vivid colours represented in the official World Cup 2010 logo.

The centre point of the Host City's emblem for 2010 is Cape Town's defining icon, Table Mountain, framed by the African sun and anchored by Table Bay in front. Confirming Cape Town as a vibrant and dynamic city, a place of fun, entertainment, warm people and unrivalled beauty.
