SA Horrorfest 2008
The 4th annual South African Horrorfest Film Festival will again bleed onto the big screen over Halloween weekend
Horrorfest 2008 continues the festival’s legacy of always making a point of nurturing and cultivating the local movie industry, in particular young movie-makers with an urge to create daring, extreme, scary and off-centre cinematic art which won’t find a platform anywhere – except at the South African Horrorfest of course!
Besides a range of indie, rare, classic and never-before seen Horror / Thriller / Chiller / Extreme movies & documentaries from around the globe, each year there’s also the South African Horrorfest Short Film Competition.
This is the ultimate Halloween event in Southern Africa, if not the entire continent, and brings you a range of classic, rare, new and indie movies, documentaries, short films, horrific prizes & give-aways, Halloween dress up, live soundtrack performances and a whole lot more.
One of the customary highlights is of course the live original soundtrack performance to a silent classic, giving you a unique and bloodcurdling Halloween season experience.
