New Year's Eve at GOLD Restaurant

Enjoy the last night of 2008 with music from all over Africa coupled with opulent feasting in a mystical African setting of tents and trees

A typical evening at GOLD Restaurant starts off with the beat of the djembe drum and an interactive drum circle offers you the opportunity to join in and learn how to play.

After pounding the skins of the drums, your hands will be soothed in a traditional hand-washing ceremony as you are led into the ancient courtyards.

Tall, graceful Mali Puppets will captivate you as they dance, jump to the beat of the drum and swirl with the dancers while magnificently adorned staff will bring your banquet in baskets perched on their heads.

For New Year’s Eve, GOLD’s entertainment will include their regular in-house entertainment – Pulse of Mali – followed by Abavuki, who will play you into the New Year with their exciting blend of marimba and brass and even a bit of opera!!
