4 Freewheeling Routes and Exciting E-Bike Tours That You Can Book Through Scootours

Race through a vineyard or plummet down a mountain

Race through a vineyard on a non-motorised, eco-friendly mountain scooter, past wild eland, ostrich and wildebeest at Chamonix Wine Farm in Franschoek. Keep your balance while you plummet your way along Signal Hill up past Bo Kaap and onto Table Mountain with your work team or the kids. Or test your limits on Scootours new Flow Trail built by famous triathlete and track builder Conrad Stoltz at Middelvlei Wine Farm.

Scootours newest Flow Trail, with its meandering berms, bush tunnel and rollers, is 850m of pure dirt road adrenaline. Between the Simonsig, Stellenbosch and Jonkeshoek mountain ranges, with views that stretch as far as Table Mountain on a clear day, race your colleagues, or the kids, from the highest point, the Caveman Cruz. Skid past its winding corners, over the bumpy rollers on the Dragon’s Back and under the canopy of trees inside the Bush Tunnel. Windswept and tired, take a break with a set braai lunch and a glass of wine at Middelvlei Restaurant below.

Rates: R290pp for the trail ride. Add lunch for R265pp; a half-day conference with lunch costs R280pp; and an archery class in front of the restaurant isR180pp
Note: Flow Trail requires a minimum of 8 riders

Scoot through vineyards looking out over the Franschhoek village on a purpose built trail at Chamonix Wine Farm. You’ll get to freewheel past wildebeest, eland and ostrich at the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve before heading back for a well deserved rest and wine tasting. These mountain bike scootours are easy to ride and great for a kids birthday party idea parents will love

Rates: R290pp for passenger tickets for kids aged four to nine riding with a parent, R590pp for everyone older than 10 years of age
Note: Kids Birthday Party Special R 400 for a driver and R 150 for a passenger (min 6 people) Team Building Midweek Special R 500pp

The Table Mountain adventure is great for kids’ birthday parties, team building adventures, day tours or school holiday adventures. Get on the Monster Mountain Scooter and freewheel the 5km from Signal Hill straight down into Bo-Kaap in the CBD. The journey then continues as you are transported by Scootours shuttle in Bo Kaap to Table Mountain for the final singletrack descent. Scootours parties are also available in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Plus, a free online invitation is included in the birthday party package.

Rates: Minimum 6 people per booking. R400pp for drivers and R150pp for passengers when booking a birthday special and R550pp when booking a teambuilding special
