New Ditto ice cream parlour says it serves Cape Town’s first 100% plant-based ice cream that’s indistinguishable from dairy.

Ditto opened on Kloof Street on 30 October 2021 and judging by the (very long) line that wrapped around the block, past Yindees (on the corner of Camp and Kloof), they might be right. Or it could be that the first 100 customers got a free scoop of ice cream, plus a 10% off for Life Loyalty Card.
Customers were eager to get a taste of this creamyAF vegan ice cream made with oat milk.

TRY FLAVOURS LIKE BRITTLE GONE NUTS
They use high-quality ice cream and change their flavours. Try the Brittle Gone Nuts flavour, which is a peanut butter ice cream folded into their homemade peanut brittle or Marvellous Mango made from mangos. The crowd favourite Gingery Snap, made from fiery ginger biscuits.
They also say their Granny Smith’s Pie flavour is full of love, cinnamon, apple, and biscuits, and tastes just like grandma’s baked apple pie.

40 DIFFERENT FLAVOURS COMING UP
"We are developing new flavours every week – we are literally doing it as we speak,” says co-founder Trent Pike, whose dream is to create 40 different flavours.
New flavours to look out for are dark chocolate and mint, called The Minty Way, chocolate with the crunch and salt of a pretzel, called Dark Choccy in a Knot, and fresh raspberry with white chocolate bits, called Raspberry White Chocco.
