LIS Vegan Ice Cream Opens Dessert Bar in Woodstock

Vegan cannabis ice cream and other CBD-infused treats are now in Woodstock: LIS Dessert Bar has just opened its doors at the Salt Circle Arcade. It’s an order-and-go space perfectly set up to satisfy your sweet-tooth cravings while on the run.

FIND YOUR IDEAL VEGAN ICE CREAM FLAVOUR (CBD IS JUST ONE OPTION)

LIS Vegan Cannabis Ice Cream is coconut milk-based (good for those who’re lactose intolerant) and each tub contains 8mg of CBD, the non-psychoactive primary element of marijuana. CBD has many health benefits, from helping to manage anxiety to simply allowing your body to relax.

You’ll pay R80 for a 250ml tub (in store or online) and there are six flavours to choose from: Vanilla Coconut, Deep Choc, Choc Mint, Dose of Rose, River of Paradise and Rumi. 
Dose of Rose, River of Paradise and Rumi are flavours unique to LIS. They’re a perfect blend of Cape Malay and Durban Indian spices that South Africans know and love. Think saffron, cardamon, turmeric and ginger, as well as chai, boeber and falooda flavours. 

CBD-INFUSED DOUGHNUT, ANYONE?

LIS Dessert Bar also serves doughnuts and other sweets, such as cheesecake, ice-cream sandwiches and carrot-cake slices  – all are vegan, halaal and CBD-infused. 

Doughnut flavours include smores, strawberry and chocolate, lemon and poppy, crème brule, cookies and cream, and cardamom and pistachio. 

Soon the ice cream won’t be the only attraction: LIS is planning on hosting comedy and game nights at the Salt Circle Arcade so customers can have a laugh, connect and eat cake – how is that not the ultimate winning combo?

THE JOURNEY OF LIS VEGAN CANNABIS ICE CREAM

 LIS Vegan Cannabis Ice Cream launched last year and supplied outlets such as Lekker Vegan. However, the Coronavirus crisis put a pause on their expansion plans – but only for a while. Owners Ziyaad September and Yaaseen Cader responded by taking their business online and are now celebrating success and opening a real-life store.
