House of H’s ribs are famous for a reason. The beef ribs are treated with a dry rub consisting of seven spices before being slow roasted in the oven for five hours. They're then smoked, brushed with a sauce and placed back in the oven. The result is a flavoured, juicy, tender beef rib that falls off the bone.
IT’S 2-FOR-1 BUT CAN FEED A CROWD
Normally, you get the 800g serving of ribs with chips and/or a salad of your choice at R260 each. But on winter Mondays, if you order one dish, you get another order free. The ribs are big enough to share, so bring a squad, especially because House of H, which is refreshingly laid-back, is an amazing spot for groups.

WINTER ROOFTOP PARTY
It’s a mish-mash of decor that makes the place charming and warm, and actually perfect for winter, too. Downstairs you'll find the restaurant with open kitchen. Upstairs at the House Of H Rooftop bar is at a spacious inner-city escape with panoramic views of the city and mountains. It’s open from Wednesday to Saturday for the duration of winter – there are heaters and cosy sofas, and they'll close the door to keep things toasty.
