Covid-19 has adjusted everybody’s world, especially in education. The International Virtual Education Expo (IVEE) is a 3D event that will give you lots of tools if you are homeschooling, or unsure about how to tap into this virtual world.
“Come create your avatar in our 3D world and connect with students, parents, educators and a variety of home learning, online schooling and educational support material providers, from the comfort of your home,” says marketing director, James Angelou. The three-day expo, which is free for all attendees, runs from 1 to 3 December.
PLUS you could win up to R5000 worth of prizes from Sharp.
All you need is a good internet connection and a personal avatar to attend. Once you've created the virtual “you”, roam around the 3D exhibition hall and have a look at what each stand offers. The expo has real-life exhibitors and keynote speakers, including assessment specialist Dr Helen Sidiropoulos and founding director of Tsiba Education Gia Whitehead. There is a lot to cover, so take the time to investigate as many stands as you can. All communication is live and in real-time.
Heading up the virtual stage are some of South Africa’s leading educators. Each day two new keynote speakers will be introduced, and three VIP exhibitor presentations will be available. The educators include founder of SP Language Academy Gomolemo Monye, founder of Pride Africa Dene Botha and Think Ahead Foundation Director Michelle Lissoos. Lissoos will guide attendees through the essential skills needed for success in a post-Covid world.
To join in on this exciting new 3D world and gain a wealth of new ideas around home learning and homeschooling, you can register online for free via ive-expo.com.
