The annual Cape Town International Kite Festival has gone virtual for 2020, and takes place from 10-31 October. A wide variety of online and offline activities will be on offer, such as competitions, kite-making workshops, interviews and more. Tickets do not have a fixed cost, but there is a recommended minimum donation of R50 per person. All proceeds go to Cape Mental Health to help provide essential free mental health services.

It’s objective is to raise funds for the invaluable work that Cape Mental Health does and to promote mental wellness. To join in and be featured on the official CTKiteFest social feeds, share your photos and videos of your kite flying by tagging #HopeOnTheRise and @CTKiteFest. You’ll also receive an official certificate of your participation in Africa’s oldest kite festival.
