Something’s Brewing: Find Out What at This Workshop For Tea-Lovers

Make your own Japanese-style tea bowl and learn to blend your own teas

You can’t buy happiness but you can buy tea, and now, better still, you can learn to make it. Whether you’re drinking tea for health reasons or just to wind down – there are so many benefits from a good cuppa. Herbsmith Dr Sonia Couto and Dawn Munro from The Muddies poetry studio are teaming up to bring you a morning of tea tasting and pottery. The workshop is taking place on Saturday 25 August 2018 at Holistic on Main in Retreat.

Sonia, a practitioner of natural remedies and holistic health, will present an informative workshop on different teas and blends. You will learn about the various flavour profiles of herbs, their effects on the body and how to blend your own teas based on what your body needs.

You’ll also get a chance to get your hands dirty, making your own traditional Japanese-style tea bowl out of porcelain. Once you’ve learnt the ins and outs of tea blends and made your tea bowl, you’ll get to choose from several blends which tea you’d like to take home.
