Nooitgedacht Trail Fun Run

Get your jogging shoes on and hit the trail for this Stellenbosch fun run

On Sunday, 11 June 2017, Nooitgedacht Wine Farm in Stellenbosch is opening up for their first ever trail run and you’re invited! The stunning estate is located along the R304, just under an hour outside of the city and the fun gets started at 7am (for registration).

In the inaugural fun run, you’ll be able to choose between 5km and 10km routes, both of which boast awesome views, rocky trails and heart pumping action. The trick with a trail run is to make sure you’re wearing the right shoes; there is nothing worse than running downhill on a mountain trail and being able to feel every stone and rock under your feet; that’s the fastest way to tears at a trail run.

Once you’ve finished the race, you’ll find yourself in serious need of a nice relax and Nooitgedacht Wine Farm is a great place to do it; they will have more wine than you could possibly drink and after a run, you’ve certainly earned the option to try. Make sure you’re not driving though, because drinking and driving is never an option.

There have been some questions about being able to bring your furry friends along with you (and no, we aren’t talking about your particularly hairy human friend). But unfortunately, the event is not open to besties of the canine variety. Do the run, have some wine, then go home and take the woggles for a walk; it’ll make their Sunday!

ENTRIES TO THE 2017 NOOITGEDACHT TRAIL FUN RUN IN STELLENBOSCH

You can register and enter on the day of the event (from 7am onwards) or online at Entryninji.co.za. The race starts at 8:15am for 5km participants and will cost R80p/p. The race starts at 8am for the 10km runners and costs R100p/p.
