Mr and Miss Cape Town Pride Pageant

It’s time to crown the ultimate King and Queen of Pride 2017!

After an insane Pride Festival for 2017, the whole party comes to a head (before the carnival obviously) with the crowning of Mr and Miss Pride 2017, which takes place at the Sea Point Civic Centre on Saturday, 25 February 2017. These lovelies will have a prime place during the Cape Town Pride Mardi Gras carnival that will be floating through Green Point on Saturday, 4 March 2017.

Contestants will strut their stuff in an effort to grab the title and hold onto it for a full year of fame and glamour. You’ll be able to watch the contest unfold, listen to lekker local artists, drink from the fully stocked bar and just generally have a jol.

This pageant forms part of the Cape Town Pride Festival for 2017, along with lots of other events; have a look below for the details on all the others!

OTHER EVENTS AT THE 2017 CAPE TOWN PRIDE FESTIVAL

Cape Town Pride Pink Party

Cozy Pool Party Pride Edition
Everyone needs a little swimwear at Pride Festival and this one is being hosted at The Deck Rooftop Pool and Bar. There is no dress code at this event but I think to be safe, say that less is more. Speedos anyone?
Date and Time: Saturday, 25 February 2017 1pm - 7pm
Venue: The Deck Rooftop Pool and Bar
Tickets: Tickets are only available for pre-sale for R150p/p and you can get your hands on them by dropping a message to +27 (0)71 119 6622 or heading to Cafe Manhattan in De Waterkant.

Pride Women’s Space
This year Cape Town Pride is catering for the ladies too. They’ve got a special section at Beaulah Bar, and there’s no doubt that there will be plenty of drink and fun going around!

Tickets: Tickets are available online via Quicket.co.za for R50p/p.

Pride Men’s Night
Taking place on the same night and at the same venue as the Pride Women’s Space is the Pride’s Men’s Night. When we say ‘same venue’, technically it is, but the Men’s Night is going down (or up rather) on the rooftop!
Date and Time: Saturday, 25 February 2017 9pm - 2am
Venue: Beaulah Bar
Tickets: Tickets are available online via Quicket.co.za for R50p/p.

Cape Town Pride Mardi Gras Carnival
This is the big event, and we cannot wait for the 2017 edition; it’s going to be bigger and better than ever! Watch and enjoy the spectacle that Cape Town only produces once a year!
Date and Time: Saturday, 4 March 2017 12pm - 8pm
Venue: Green Point Urban Park
Tickets: Tickets are available online via Quicket.co.za for R50p/p.
