On Sunday, 20 May HOG Tygervalley are inviting all bike enthusiasts to accompany them on a breakfast ride through the Overberg. Although they are a group of Harley-lovers, everyone with a bike is welcome to join.
WHAT’S IN A NAME
HOG Tygervalley is Cape Town’s very own group of Harley Davidson enthusiasts. They ride fast, relish the open road and live by the motto “it’s about the ride there, the ride home, and everything in between”. HOG regularly host various events, often in the form of charity fund-raising.
THE RIDE
Grab your riding gear and buckle up your helmet for a morning of fast-paced riding and delicious grub. Bikers will meet at Harley-Davidson Tyger Valley at 8:30am and take the ride through the most scenic roads of the Overberg area, to the small village of Baardskeerdersbos (which is just 20 minutes from Gansbaai) for the best ever breakfast at Marietjies.
THE SPREAD
It’s about the journey not the destination, but we must say - this breakfast spot won’t disappoint. Marietjies, the local watering hole of Baardskeerdebos, is pub food. It’s hearty, and it will hit the spot after you work up an appetite on the road. Take your pick from ribs, steak, egg and chips, or a good old English Breakfast.
---
Conquer Cape Town’s roads and rent a Harley for the day.
Alternatively, take the backseat and book a chauffeured motorbike ride around Cape Town.
If you’re keen to explore more of the Overberg Region, here’s a list of awesome things to do in Gansbaai.
