Dust off those old trainers, stretch out those stiff muscles and get ready to Lace Up For Cancer on Sunday, 5 February 2017, at the Green Point Track.
Everyone is invited to join the 5-km walk/run and 10-km walk in commemoration of World Cancer Day. Participants are encouraged to come geared up in their craziest outfits to show support for their loved ones who have been diagnosed with cancer or to remember the ones we’ve lost due to the chronic illness.
The organisers are looking forward to welcoming up to 5000 participants at this year’s event. Lace Up For Cancer is intended at raising awareness and funds for these six cancer-focussed organisations:
The Hospice Palliative Care Association (HPCA) will be hosting the event this year. After the event, everyone gathers at the Green Point Track to enjoy some treats, fun and time to spend with family.
ENTRY TO THE 2017 LACE UP FOR CANCER RUN/WALK IN GREEN POINT
Registration for the run can be completed online via Justonline.co.za and entries are priced at R100p/p or R300 for a team of four. You can also register in store at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Rondebosch or Tygervalley. Entries close on Sunday, 29 January 2017, so hurry to book your spot!
For more information, phone +27 (0)21 633 0507. The race begins at 8am.
