Commemorate the life of a South African icon through the power of creativity
Freedom Day Gig at Beerhouse
Head down to Beerhouse on Long Street to celebrate one of South Africa’s favourite public holidays – Freedom Day
This Freedom Day, which falls on Friday, 27 April, Beerhouse is hosting an awesome gig in celebration of this significant holiday. Capetonian favourites, The Rudimentals, will take the stage as well as other awesome local talent. Everyone is invited to celebrate our freedom in style, so kick off your long weekend with this selection of great South African artists.
An out-of-this-world musical experience is in store at this beer haven on Long Street. Some local favourites will be performing to bring you a night of entertainment and celebration. Ann Jangle, whose new single "Rebel" has just made it to the A-list on iTunes, will be kicking off the party. Her style is described as “dark folk” and “gypsy rock” – the SA-born singer/songwriter has been performing her way through Europe and is now back on home soil.
Other local favourites to perform on the night include The Nomadic Orchestra and The Rudimentals, while DJs will hit the decks after 11 to keep the party going.
It’s not just the music that offers great variety, Beerhouse have their (in)famous 99 bottles of beer displayed on the wall, as well as 25 of the finest beers on tap. The only thing that can make an awesome music line-up better is having awesome drinks to match.
