The cold months are here and there’s nothing quite like warming your belly with a tot or two of good whisky. However, not many of us know that there’s a difference between whisky and whiskey. With this in mind, Distillique invite you to join them in learning the ins and outs of whisky-making at an awesome DIY workshop in Stellenbosch on Saturday, 21 July 2018.
Irish, Scotch or Bourbon, whisky is no one-sided spirit. Impress your friends by dropping some serious knowledge after learning the tricks of the trade. Gear up for a day of testing, tasting and experimenting.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT (OTHER THAN TASTING)
• Whisky, whiskey and moonshine overview
• All things distillation (legalities, different types, basic physics)
• Fractioning
• Fermentation
• Sugar and alcohol calculations
• Ageing
TICKETS TO THE 2018 WHISKEY AND MOONSHINE TRAINING COURSE
Tickets can be bought via www.distillique.com and are R1900/p. The event takes place at Koelenhof Wine Cellar in Stellenbosch and starts at 9am. It will be a full-day of learning, tasting and testing ending at about 4pm with a lunch break at 12pm.
