Face The Music launch event

Unused train platforms to host a warehouse party of epic proportions brought to you by ‘Make-Believe Productions’

Face the Music is an electronic music experience (read: fat jol) that will turn the unused and otherwise derelict train platforms of the Cape Town Train Lodge into party central on Saturday 19 May 2012. As you may have noticed, winter has its icy grip firmly over Cape Town and the glorious outdoor summer festivals are now but memories of great times passed.

And let’s be honest, clubbing becomes tedious quickly: the same crowd, same over enthusiastic bouncers, same barman to whom you are perpetually the last person who should be served. It never quite competes with the dynamism of festivals; where the most unassuming of open spaces are only ever a truck load of sound and lighting equipment away from transformation into a temporary headquarters of all things hedonistic.

The ultimate indoor party 
Situated between the old train carriages and under the protected station roof is a platform space that awaits a sonic experience like no other. Not to mention, the organisers, Make-Believe Productions, have a proven party pedigree, with experience putting together events such as Friday night ‘Substance’ at Chukkachurri , Cape Town Electronic Music Festival and out-to-sea parties on the Jolly Roger ship.

Cape Town party goers can expect a line-up of artists as solid as the cast-iron tracks upon which the train carriages lay...
