Ear’s Don’t Lie and Our Minds Present: Our Minds Don’t Lie

The outdoor season might be over, but the indoor one is just beginning!

With the outdoor trance season being mostly shelved until summer, this indoor party stands as a reminder to all your trance heads out there; winter doesn’t mean you stop the party, you just move it indoors! On Friday, 30 June 2017 Ear’s Don’t Lie have teamed up with one of the hottest trance providers in the city, Our Minds, for a night you won’t soon forget at Mercury Live.

The trance party scene in SA is said to be the best in the Southern Hemisphere, but what can be done when the sky clouds over and the rain begins to pour (other than celebrate obviously, the drought is getting pretty tough now)? Well, the indoor trance party season sees the same amazing locals hit the stage, but this time they’ll be indoors and you won’t have to scramble when it starts to rain. I guess rain can be handled, but the cold and the wind certainly can’t; nobody likes being cold especially when they’ve paid for a good time!

The evening will see guests invited to dance themselves silly at one or both of the two dance floors open on the night. Trance is a diverse genre of music, and not everyone likes the same faction. On that note, you’ll be happy to know that the organisers have made sure that there are deeper and lighter versions for all to enjoy. The Cave will feature four of Our Minds’s signed DJs for a night of deep and dark progressive trance, complete with goosebumps and all. The second stage, the Particle Accelerator, will feature artists that play on the lighter side of life; good old fashioned progressive trance. These DJs will put some bounce back into the evening, and the whole line-up is shaping up to be a real treat.

Tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the event. If you get there before 9pm, then you only need to pay R50p/p. If you arrive after 9pm, the price goes up to R80p/p. You could totally use that R30 to buy a drink or two, or put it towards your Uber home.
