Curl Up With A Good Book For The Benefit of Animals at This Fundraiser

Make a difference in the lives of the Cape’s sick and injured animals

Pop into Canal Walk’s Checkers Court on 7 and 8 July from 9am to 9pm for a fundraising book sale in support of the Cape’s sick and injured animals.

The annual SPCA book sale will be raising funds for their animal hospital where 29 637 animals were treated last year alone. The hospital is one of the SPCA’s most expensive units, with costs running higher than R8.3-million in 2017.

Although a costly operation, the SPCA is still focusing on being able to provide affordable, preventative and primary vet care to the pets of underprivileged owners – and you can help them out.

Visit their book sale, choose a few great reads, and curl up with your favourite reading genres, all while making a notable difference to the lives of those animals in need that the SPCA takes in with open arms every day. From adults’ to kids’ books, there’ll be a page-turner for everyone. You’ll also be able to “adopt” one of the popular walking pet balloons from the Absolute Pets store near Checkers in Canal Walk.
