FIND TREASURES UNDER THE TREES
The Rondebosch Park Market has been around for over 30 years and it’s set up in the park under shady trees. There are numerous stalls selling wares from handmade items carved from wood, jewellery and artworks to knitwear.

GRAB A BITE AS YOU SHOP
Hungry after all the browsing and shopping? The market has a variety of food stalls selling everything from coffee to burgers and chips. You can eat while listening to the live music and buy baked breads, cheeses, olives, honey, preserves and artisanal coffee to take home.

GET YOUR GROOVE ON
There is a band that performs on a regular basis at the market, as well as a DJ who will be sure to keep the beats going as you shop around. “Our DJ plays the best music, so much so that the shoppers, when they are done shopping and organising food, they anchor themselves at one of the tables and enjoy it for as long as they can, almost like a monthly gathering with friends/family,” says Judi Karlsson, the market organiser.
BRING YOUR FURRY FRIEND
The market is dog friendly, but please be sure to keep your pooches on a leash. Dogs can also get in on the fun at an animal rescue organisation’s stall, which sells items like dog bowls, beds, leads and toys, as well as bandanas and treats.

How to attend
The Rondebosch Park Market takes place on the second Saturday of every month, between 9am - 2pm. There will also be a Twilight Market on Wednesday the 22nd December 2021, from 3 pm - 8 pm, which is the perfect opportunity to do some last minute Christmas shopping.
