To be a trail runner, in my opinion, you need to be a superhero of sorts, so why not complete the transformation with help from Durbanville Hills? Tackle their 8-km Harvest Trail Run in the hills of Durbanville on Sunday, 19 February 2017 and support a very worthy cause.
This harvest time trail run is in aid of the Durbanville Hills Workers Trust. Established in 2000, the trust supports the families that work on the farm and the other wineries in the area. They have already established a creche for the youngest of the children and have improved the facilities at the under-resourced primary schools in the area. The trust also pays tuition to Durbanville High School for all the older children that can attend. Help this wonderful organisation change the lives of some very deserving families.
For adults, the trust runs a selection of life skill programmes to allow them to learn more about general professional practices. The trust has also negotiated with the workers employers to get them time off to attend these life-changing workshops. Education is not a privilege and the Durbanville Hills Workers Trust is determined to bring that right to all the people in the area.
The trail run will follow a route around the estate and will meander between beautiful vines, challenging hills, and stunning fields. The 8-km race will start promptly at 7:15am, and the cut off is 9am. Make sure you are done by then or you will miss the prize giving and raffle! Registration opens (on the day) at 6am and closes at 7am. Don’t miss your opportunity to run one of the only harvest trail runs around on one of the most lovely estates in Durbanville.
We almost forgot to mention the best part! Make this day even more memorable by dressing up as your favorite superhero. Whether you love WonderWoman, Batman, Iron Man or Thor; DC or Marvel, we don’t care, just dress up and join the fun.

ENTRIES FOR THE 2017 BE A SUPERHERO FOR A SUPER CAUSE AT DURBANVILLE HILLS
You can register for the run on the day of the event at the venue as well as online via entryninja.com. Entering the race will cost R130p/p and it includes a bottle of Durbanville Hills Sauvignon Blanc or a Durbanville Hills chocolate. There will be prizes for first man, woman, boy, girl and best dressed team of four.
