A Sunday Buffet That’s Worth Taking A Day Trip For

ATKV Goudini Spa’s Koswerf Restaurant hosts a weekly Sunday lunch buffet from 12pm–2pm that’s totally worth the drive. It’s a three-course meal, and starters include soups, bread and salads. For the main course, choose from a range of hearty dishes, then round it all off with a selection of desserts and coffee or tea. Halaal meals are available. And don't forget to pack in your costume for a quick dip in one of their hot pools after lunch.
ACCOMMODATION FOR ALL BUDGETS PLUS FIVE HOT POOLS
Just an hour’s drive from Cape Town lies this quiet resort in Rawsonville surrounded by lush vineyards and the majestic Boland mountains. Goudini Spa offers a variety of self-catering accommodation suited to all budgets (from rondavels to villas), with 185 units to choose from (2–8 sleepers). All units are fully equipped, including braai facilities, DSTV and kitchen utensils. They also offer day camping and can accommodate around 25 families.
There are five hot pools (one with a winding water slide), which are filled with natural spring water and are naturally heated between 23 °C and 38 °C. When you’re not taking a dip, there are hiking trails, a tennis court, putt-putt and a holiday entertainment programme (among other activities) to keep everyone amused.
Goudini Spa also has a beauty clinic, a licensed restaurant, eight conference venues and a wedding reception hall, which comes with its own hot pool and a spectacular view.
The stunning Slanghoek Conference Centre is the jewel of Goudini Spa. If you are planning your wedding, keep in mind that you can get married at the centre and that the bridal couple gets a free stay in the Slanghoek Villas.
