A Lesson In Xhosa Culture at this This Sunday Morning Bike Ride

Peddle your way through the heart of one of the city’s most dynamic townships at this locally guided Sunday cycle

Buckle up your helmet and join this passionate group of locals for a ride through Khayelitsha, with a few enticing stops along the way, on Sunday 10 June from 10am to 1pm.

Hosted by ABCD Concepts, the team is eager to share the lifestyle, history and heritage of the fast-growing township, and are using Sunday bike rides to do so. Bikers will be able to engage with local entrepreneurs, try out favourite hot spots, and even attend a festival if one is taking place on the Sunday of your ride.

Learn about the vision for Khayelitsha from young entrepreneurs, as well as indulge in some of the delicious local cuisine, and even pick up a few words of Xhosa in a lesson on the local language.

Tickets are R280/p and are available through Airbnb. With your ticket you’ll get a bike for the day (no helmet, no ride – so don’t forget yours), water, lunch and your tour with a local guide through Khayelitsha.
