The Eggsperiment with Science School Holiday programme is for any little one looking to have some fun with science. Taking place at Willowbridge Shopping Centre from Thursday, 29 March to Sunday, 8 April, kids will experiment with screaming jelly babies, smoking lava lamps, smoke bubbles and more.
WHY SCIENCE IS FUN
This holiday programme is hosted by Split Second Science, who are dedicated to making science fun. They aim to get children more involved with experiments, chemicals and compounds and how they work – all done in a safe and fun environment.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Juniors: 3 – 6 years old
Sessions include five experiments with an emphasis on tactile interaction, which centres on visual displays using finger movements. The sessions also include experimenting with dry ice, making smoke bubbles, how to make your own sherbet (remainder of sherbet kit can be taken home!), catch a bubble and helium foam balloons. Kids will receive all equipment as well as a lab coat.
Participants: Only 20 per session
Cost: R50 per child
Seniors: 7 – 12 years old
Each child will receive a DIY science kit to take home with them; it includes three experiments. The sessions also include experimenting with dry ice, making smoke bubbles, how to make your own sherbet (remainder of sherbet kit can be taken home), catch a bubble and helium foam balloons.
