There is nothing 'mini' about this Octoberfest festival in the Karoo
Many Germans and South Africans visit Prince Albert for the "Mini-Oktoberfest", which was first held in October 2002.
Visitors to the Octoberfest enjoyed an evening of dancing and singing 'volksliede' (folk-songs).. Music was provided by local band “The Killiebeentjie Orkes”, who are great at ‘umpa-pa-pa.’
Champagne cocktails, draft beer, eisbein and sausage were served.
The Prince Albert Mini Octoberfest is now an annual event which has expanded to include a braai and vegetarian dishes.
Raffle tickets give you the opportunity to win prizes valued up to R10 000.
