Cape Diamonds offers expertly crafted, fynbos-inspired engagement rings
“From the deepest blue oceans to hills of rolling greenery and renowned natural wonders, South Africa is the perfect place to fall in love and make it last forever,” says Joel Graham, founder and owner of Cape Diamonds.
Situated within the heart of Cape Town, Cape Diamonds has exquisite diamonds and engagement rings at competitive prices. Joel Graham encourages you to bring your own design vision that will be brought to life by skilled jewellery manufacturers. “Alternatively, clients can select a diamond ring from the locally-inspired fynbos-floral range, artistically representing South Africa’s uniquely beautiful Table Mountain flowers.”
As the hands and heart behind Cape Diamonds, Joel’s exceptional jewellery background has led to highly reputable jewellery at competitive industry prices.
In his early career he worked for the award-winning designer, Barbara Tipple, and her husband David Ward. Joel accumulated further jewellery training overseas, working alongside some of the greatest jewellery designers and goldsmiths with outlets in Bond Street and Harrods, in the United Kingdom.

Joel specialises in platinum, yellow gold, white gold, palladium and intricate, precious stone settings. He has lectured at Stellenbosch University on handmade jewellery techniques and platinum craftsmanship. In 2019, he judged Anglo Platinum’s PlatAfrica2019 annual jewellery design awards.
Joel drew much of his jewellery design background from Hogsback in South Africa – a farm town set in the heart of nature. His love for the outdoors and careful attention to detail inspired many beautiful designs and artistic engagement rings styled in the image of South Africa’s natural biodiversity and floral landscapes.
With Cape Diamonds’ on-site workshop and expert local craftsmen, you can customise every detail of your dream engagement ring—designed to be loved for a lifetime. Their helpful sales consultants will assist you in creating a one-of-a-kind engagement ring both you and your significant other will love.
The latest technological developments in the jewellery world allow you to view a 3D image of your design before it’s approved for manufacture. All stones are set by hand, polished and carefully inspected before you receive your fine jewellery piece.

Cape Diamond’s signature Cape Fynbos range may already offer you the perfect engagement ring. From elegant 4- or 6-claw solitaire settings to trilogy diamond rings, hidden-halo designs and pavé side diamonds to give that extra sparkle, there’s a strong chance you’ll find the perfect option to match your personal style and budget.

Cape Diamonds makes finding the perfect ring a seamless and enjoyable process. Here are three helpful tips on buying a diamond ring in South Africa:
1. Buy GIA-certified diamonds: The Gemmological Institute of America records each diamond’s clarity, cut, colour, shape and carat size, and certifies it, ensuring it won’t be over-valued whilst protecting your investment.
2. Make sure a diamond contains a unique certification code: Each one should have a unique serial number nano-lasered into its girdle (the widest point of the circumference of the stone). This should correspond to the GIA certificate.
3. Make sure your dealer is registered with the Jewellery Council of South Africa.
Cape Diamonds is open: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm; Saturday, 9am - 1pm
