Explore the Flavours of Cape Town On Foot with Cape Town Culinary Tours
Taste your way through this strikingly unique and multicultural city with a food tour
Food brings people together - that’s a fact. Cape Town Culinary Tours brings together the traditional and historic aspects of Cape Town with guided walking tours, culminating in a flavourful journey like no other.
Founded by Capetonian Elsje Erasmus in 2017, a well-travelled foodie with a passion for uncovering the city’s bustling culinary scene, the tours literally entail eating your way through the Mother City.
Here Elsje curates a fine itinerary for guests to get a true slice of Cape Town by means of gastronomy and history. Learning about South African history is equally as important as getting to savour it, and Cape Town Culinary Tours promises quality and memories to take with you through this flavourful journey.
The culinary tours are roughly 3.5 hours in duration, and a maximum number of 10 foodies can be accommodated at a time. This ensures an intimate experience for attendees where tasting - and learning - come to the fore. Private tours can be arranged where the start and end times can be tailored to your needs, while family and team-building tours may also be planned.
Whether it’s a stroll through the trendy suburb of De Waterkant to uncover South African spins on breakfast classics, or a trip out to the historic winelands where Platteland hospitality and good food go hand-in-hand, there is never a shortage of culinary inspiration when visiting the Mother City, and Cape Culinary Tours knows just how to bring out the best of this foodie mecca in the right way.
