Live Satellite Interview for #DOTChallenge at Cape Quarter
Chat to two local rowers while they sit on their rowing boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Take part in an incredible opportunity to catch up with two South African extreme adventurers as they row from Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro. On Friday, 24 March 2017, Braam Malherbe and Wayne Robertson will be the subjects of a live satellite interview as they sit in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean aboard their rowing boat. This interview will be broadcast over the PA system at the Cape Quarter in Green Point and, weather permitting will start at 1pm.
The pair is embarking on their own Cape to Rio adventure for the #DOTChallenge (Do One Thing Challenge) that aims to highlight the need to take action against climate change and be proactive in making a difference to save our planet. With the current water crisis in the Western Cape, this event is relevant and we could all aspire to engage with the #DOTChallenge campaign. The four main focal points of the campaign are to save water, reduce waste, conserve energy and implement conservation in our day-to-day lives.
Attend the satellite interview and find out what makes Malherbe and Robertson tick. The audience will get the unique opportunity to ask them questions to find out what hardships they face on a daily basis, what it’s like being in the middle of the ocean on a small boat, and why they decided to do the challenge.
Stick around after the interview and catch some live music from Faze 4, starting at 4pm.
