Una Más means “one more” in Spanish, a fitting name for this newly opened restaurant that serves more-ish Mexican food and drinks. From house-made crispy tortillas to spicy and creamy cocktails, you'll always want one more. It’s an intimate, trendy and vibey spot already popular amongst Sea Point locals.

EAT OUT ON A BUDGET IN NEWLANDS
This new family-friendly restaurant and bar brings something new to Newlands Main Road. There’s a kiddies’ play area, trendy bar and live entertainment that caters for young and old. Plus, weekly 2-for-one food specials and a 2-hour “happy hour” from Monday to Friday at Furley’s Bar & Grill.

NIBBLE ASIAN DESSERTS AT THIS CAFÉ
There’s a new kid on the block in De Waterkant, and it’s a siren for all our sweet-toothed friends. From Japanese cheesecakes to Korean macarons, you’ll want to try everything on the menu. Plus, the minimalist vibe and soft colours are so serene, you won’t want to leave. Pop by and enjoy a canned coffee and a treat at Café Chiffon.

DINE IN ONE OF SOUTH AFRICA’S OLDEST BARNS
Chef Bertus Basson’s newest restaurant opened its doors in March 2022, in Stellenbosch. It’s on Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate and gives diners a taste of favourite South African flavours in a historic, yet modern setting. Think fish paste on toast and quail, to liver parfait and African grains. You’ll be wowed by the 3- or 5-course menu.
Must-try: A pavlova trolley of fresh pineapple, almond and coconut

SLEEP IN A CONVERTED WINE TANK
Now here’s an extraordinary experience: Luxury accommodation in converted 1821 cellars’ concrete wine tanks. Yes, you’ll be staying in a wine tank! How cool is that? RECONNECT AT THIS CAFÉ IN OBSERVATORY
You’ll feel right at home at this vintage café. Sonder was born out of the recognition that we all need to connect with others. This space was created to do just that – all are welcome here to play a game of chess, admire art and sip good coffee with friends. Plus, you can rent this quirky space for a special event.

EAT AFFORDABLE FINE FOOD IN STELLENBOSCH
Dine in a historical building in Stellenbosch with a surprisingly affordable menu. This new gem first opened its doors mid-February 2022 and serves South African food with hints of Asian flavours. The restaurant has wooden tables, plush green booths, arched mirrors and accents of palm-leaf wallpaper. Dine finely with history at Post & Pepper.
Must-try: Everything. The staff recommends ordering 5-7 dishes and sharing between two.

ORDER A BUTTERY BREKKIE IN THE CITY
Everything’s made with butter at this all-day breakfast and bistro bar that opened its doors in the heart of the Mother City mid-2021. For under R50 each, you can get a slice of homemade sourdough with an abundance of butter, or a thick slice of nutty banana bread, a scone with berry jam, two buttered mielies, buttered popcorn, or The Old Boy (a soft-boiled egg with dippy sourdough soldiers). Plus, you can escape the office for the day, there's free wifi for customers at Butter.

One Park is an eatery, a record store and a gallery space. It’s a space dedicated to exploring the dance between food, music and art. You can drink handcrafted cocktails then tuck into delicious cuisine, surrounded by incredible local art (most of which is for sale), and listen to records at One Park.

SIT WITH THE COOL KIDS AT A TRENDY RESTAURANT
They say blondes have more fun, and that’s definitely the case with this new kid on Kloof Street. With its friendly environment, Mediterranean-inspired food, affordable prices and fun decor, this space is becoming a firm favourite. Plus there’s loads of options for vegetarians and vegans at Blondie Restaurant.

This fresh, upmarket, and intimate French-themed social bar is the perfect hang-out for young adults on a budget, over 21s only.
