There’s so much to do and see this weekend. You could go to a local fashion show with friends, take the kids to a magic festival, go for a night ride with fellow bikers, or spend date night at a unique dinner show. There’s also a 5km fun run with wine, new go-karting location and 15+ more awesome events and activities.

GO TO A FASHION SHOW ON FRIDAY NIGHT

Fashion Revolution South Africa is hosting an evening celebrating local, sustainable and street fashion. The fashion show will feature designs from local artists who use upcycled materials. Throughout the night DJs will play a variety of music to keep the party going, and seating is limited. RSVPS must be done via the GoogleForm below.

GO TO AN OPERA FESTIVAL

A night at the opera, in a bite-size version. Cape Town Opera is hosting an opera festival with three shows, from a Mozart comedy great for the family to the world-premiere of Trial by Media, a story about the Oscar Pistorius trial. WATCH A MAGIC FESTIVAL WITH THE KIDS

When’s the last time you had that jolt, you know…when you’re surprised but impressed at the same time? It’s Kinda Magic will feature some of the best card mechanics, sleight-of-hand tricks, and escapes from difficult bindings and locks. There’ll also be mentalists and illusionists.

GET TICKETS TO COMIC CON

Comic Con Cape Town returns to the CTICC from 27 April to 1 May 2024. It’s bringing all elements of pop culture, comic books, gaming and cosplay to Cape Town. You can meet celebrities or take part in competitions with grand prizes. Here’s 10 reasons to attend Comic Con Cape Town 2024.

CELEBRATE ALL THINGS CHILLI

The Festival of Fire is South Africa’s hottest chilli festival. There’ll be food trucks and vendors selling chilli-based products, live music, cooking demonstrations, tasting experiences, international-level chilli competitions, prizes, and more. There’s also kid-friendly competitions and SA’s chilli eating competition (if you’re brave enough to enter).

TRY GO-KARTING AT A NEW LOCATION

Rev your engines at Tyger Valley Centre’s new extreme karting. Their doors are open to the public, where you can challenge your friends to F1-style driving.
