To be very short: No. Don't let the media scare you with stories about people who were attacked by Great White Sharks. Never has there been a diver attacked or killed by a Great White, simply because they are not interested and do not see food in scuba divers.
Besides, sharks are kept at distance because the bubbles. They do not like the noise and will therefore stay away.
