One of the ways locals in Cape Town end their day is to go for a
sundowner on Clifton Beach, on one of Cape Town's Blue Flag Beaches. Clifton in Cape Town is legendary
for its stunning sunsets.
Every day, armed with wine, snacks, blankets and candles, large
groups of Capetonians drive down to Clifton Fourth beach. To witness
the sun slip in to the Atlantic Ocean. The darker it gets, the more
candles are lit and slowly but surely Clifton Beach changes into a sea
of candlelight.
It is the perfect way to conclude the day with friends, or with
your loved one. Take with some finger foods, a good bottle of South
African wine, candles and a warm blanket and snuggle up close to each
other while the sun disappears behind the horizon.
How too get there? Take Beach Road (M6), and follow the signs
Clifton and Camps Bay. Clifton Four is situated before La Med Beach
Club. Bring with: Wine, drinks, blankets, candles and good company.
If you want to spend the night in Clifton, there is plenty of accommodation in Clifton. Consider staying at:
