var i,x,a=document.MM_sr; for(i=0;a&&i Historic Dorp Street is one of Stellenbosch's most famous streets. This picture-perfect street is enveloped in a towering crowd of stately green oak trees; its sidewalks teeming with things to do and see. It is home to a museum, a theatre, an art gallery; a host of historic buildings, and a wide range of coffee shops, restaurants and bars. Binelli's Event Bar is a new addition to the Dorp Street crowd. This funky upmarket bar and tapas restaurant, situated in a beautifully renovated Cape Dutch building, oozes character and charm. The vibe at Binelli's is chic and sexy - A quirky cross between stark 21st century minimalism, pop art and regal renaissance opulence. An eclectic combination of sparkly chandeliers, plush velvet; sexy white plether couches and Louis Ghost armchairs decorate the interior. A pious Mother Mary tut-tuts quietly in a corner and in another room, a celluloid bull dog smoking a cigar watches on from its gold-framed confines. Broaden your cocktail horizons by indulging in a wide variety of alcoholic concoctions. Sample everything from Mojitos and Pina Coladas to Hemmingway Daiquiris; Capone's Brandy Crustas; Vaticans; Touchdowns and Melon Martinis. The menu also sports an array of interesting snippets regarding the origins of the cocktails on offer. Monday nights are Cocktail Dice Nights at Binelli's. Order a cocktail and challenge your waiter/barmen to a duel of the dice. If you win you get your cocktail on the house. If not, simply order another and try again (A pretty sweet deal if you ask us). On Wednesdays all cocktails are half price between 6 and 9pm. Tipsy patrons can line their stomachs by nibbling on tasty tapas - like prawn tails, currywurst and caperberries - and culture junkies can drop in at the Dorp Street Theatre (across the street) afterwards to watch a play or tap their feet to the sounds of one of SA's hottest local bands. Indulge in a dash of quirky Winelands glamour: Drop in at Binelli's Event bar and order a tall one or two.
