According to Gehan van der Merwe (Food and Beverage Manager at the hotel) the first thing people ask for when they come through the door is a window seat.
The restaurant, perched on top of a hill, boasts an unsurpassed view over the vineyards, stately mountains and lush vegetation that make up the Cape Winelands.
Great view aside the restaurant offers diners an extensive buffet comprised of a wide variety of home-cooked favourites. The malva pudding deserves a special mention: It is to die for and tastes just like mum used to make it.
The breakfast buffet is exceptionally yummy with a wide selection of nuts, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, mini pastries, cold meats, sausages, eggs, omelettes, stuffed tomatoes and an array of other delights. The Sunday Carvery is also popular among Stellenbosch locals and visitors alike.
The waiters at the Aristata are friendly and attentive. Fresh flowers adorn each table and the atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed.
Diners itching to show off their dance moves can rest assured - the Aristata also has a dance floor and a jazz band entertains guests on some nights.
A window seat at the Aristata is the perfect remedy for stressed-out travellers in need of a dose of therapeutic bliss. Just take a good look at that breathtaking view and call us in the morning.
Molo says: "Find other things to do in Stellenbosch. Read more about the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch; the hotel's Black Bull Bar and Restaurant; Fishmonger restaurant and Binelli's Event Bar.
