Step into the world of Boschendal wine estate and gently drift away
Boschendal in between Stellenbosch & Franschhoek is one of those wine estates that you have to have on your 'to-do-list when being in Cape Town.

At the foot of the Groot Drakenstein Mountains lies Boschendal, a wine estate with a proud French heritage that dates back to the seventeenth century.

Taste and buy wine
at the Taphuis, close to the Le Rhone Manor House and a short distance from the winery. Explore the vineyards (summer) or the cellars (winter) at Boschendal. In other words: Boschendal is one of those wine estates that have to be on your 'to-do-list'; certainly enjoyed with a pick nick at the wine estate (le Pique Nique) or dinner at one of the Boschendal Restaurants.

But there is more to tell about
the area: The earliest inhabitants of the valley lived here at least 700 000 years ago. Artifacts from the Early, Middle and Late Stone Ages have been discovered on the mountain slopes and the river plains. For tens of thousands of years small bands of hunter-gatherers roamed the Cape hunting game, fishing and foraging for plant foods.
